Hartmut Jacob, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Jacob is responsible for the corporate finance and consulting business of Delphi Worldwide. He is a recognized investment professional in the CIS markets with almost 20 years of experience.

Mr. Jacob has accumulated professional investment experience in financial institutions such as the World Bank, International Finance Corporation (IFC), Creditanstalt Investment Bank (CAIB) and Renaissance Capital. 

As Chief Utilities Analyst for Russia for Renaissance Capital, Mr. Jacob, a German citizen, was consistently ranked Number 1 analyst according to some of the most prestigious surveys, such as Institutional Investors, Extel, and Reuters.
As Head of the Ukraine Business of Renaissance Capital, he oversaw the launch of the Ukraine subsidiary of Renaissance Capital and turned it into a leading  investment banking institution. For example, under his leadership, Renaissance Capital consistently ranked Number 1 in the Ukrainian equity market according to leading surveys, and advised on several high-profile investment banking transactions.

Hartmut Jacob has participated in a number of notable transactions and projects in the CIS markets, including debt restructuring for Russian Timber Group with Promsvyazbank,  Mosenergo and RAO EES restructurings as well as agricultural reform. In addition, he consulted MAZ (Minsk Automotive Plant), Kempinski Hotel Group in Dubai, Industrial Union of Donbass as well as a number of Austrian banks on corporate finance matters.   
Mr. Jacob holds an MA in Finance and International Relations from The Johns Hopkins University, SAIS, Washington, DC, USA, and an MA in Political Science from the Free University of Berlin, Germany.
